ITINERARIES OF THE MYTH
Marinella di Palmi: a fisherman village in Palmi consisting of a few houses and a small beach in front of a bay enclosed by high spurs of rock. The beauty of the bay contributed, in 2014, to Legambiente's awarding of 3 blue sails to the town of Palmi, putting the town in third place in the whole of Calabria. Here we will tell you about the historic landing of Garibaldi's volunteers on 23 August 1860 and the adventures of the Corsair Dragut.
Porto Oreste or Rovaglioso: Described as "one of the paradises of the Costa Viola" and as "one of the most beautiful beaches in Calabria" and where, according to legend, the legendary Orestes, son of Agamemnon, landed and whose story we will tell.
The Rovaglioso beach in Palmi is one of Italy's dream beaches. For two months, the Legambiente "La più bella sei tu" (You are the most beautiful) campaign saw tourists and bathers express their comments and preferences on the Internet, deciding the ranking of exceptional places. The Palmi cove was one of the most voted, and is now one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy.
Cala Leone: Another splendid cove very close to the more famous Cala Janculla, but whose name conceals a history that is linked to the life and miracles of St. Elijah of Enna and the Byzantine Emperor Leo XVI, known as the Wise. In this cove it is also possible to visit a small church whose history we will tell you.
